My Dad (Jay-Z) Did Something Else Amazing Today, Along With His Other Partners In The NBA Franchise New Jersey/ Brooklyn Nets. Today, Ground Was Broken For The New Home Of The New Jersey/ Brooklyn Nets Known As The Barclays Center. This Would Be A Huge Accomplishment For Anyone, But Knowing Where He Came From, Where He Has Been, and What He Did To Get To That Moment Is Purely Amazing. Once Again Another Example of Why They Say America Is The Land Of Opportunity. Big Ups To My Dad (Jay-Z) and The Rest Of The New Jersey/ Brooklyn Nets Franchise. Congratulations To My New York Yankees: 2009 World Series Baseball Champions

Well Anyone Who Really Knows Me Knows That I Don't Really Watch Baseball Until The Playoffs Start. NO SERIOUSLY, I'm Sure If They Ran Some Type Of Stats On The Speed Of Playoff Baseball In Comparison To Regular Season Baseball There Would Be A Major Gap In The Duration Of The Games. But When I Do Watch Playoff Baseball I Have Only 2 Teams That I Will Ever Cheer For, Thats My Hometown Squad The Chicago White Sox and My Favorite Team The New York Yankees. So You Know I Was Extra Glued To The Tube Throughout This 27th World Championship Run. Watching Them Defeat The Phillies Was Amazing, But Even Bigger Was Seeing My Dad (Jay-Z) and Alicia Keys Perform "Empire State Of Mind" Live Prior To Game 2 In New York. Jay-Z Blueprint 3 Review + Food For Thought With Jay-Z

In All Honesty I Unwrapped This Most Recent Installment To My Jay-Z Collection Not Really Knowing What To Expect. Reading Some Of The Reviews Regarding The Album, From People Who's Music Opinions I Really Trusted and Other Hip Hop Artist, You Would Have Thought The Album Would Have Been A Complete Dud. For Example, Rapper Big Pooh of Little Brother Tweeted These Messages To His Followers:

The Album Was Leaked Almost Two Weeks Prior To Its Official Release Date of September 11, 2009 Causing Jay-Z To Push The Date Up To September 8th. For 2 Weeks I Refused To Listen To Anything I Wasn't Supposed To Be Hearing From The Blueprint 3, Not Because I Believed Anything The Other Listeners Had To Say But More Out Of Loyalty To The Man I Often Refer To As My Dad (Jay-Z). On Monday September 7th I Felt Like A Child On Christmas Eve, All I Could Think About Was Sitting At My Computer At 12:01AM Tuesday September 8th and Downloading The Album Directly From iTunes. Unfortunately They Failed Me and Still Had The Release Date Scheduled For Friday The 11th of September, So I Was Forced To Wait Until The Morning To Grab It From Best Buy. Along With The Blueprint 3 I Also Purchased The Entire Blueprint Series That Came In A Special Edition Blueprint Box/ Casing Which Is Extremely Impressive.

When I Got To The Actual Music I Was Equally Impressed, Not Because Of My Sworn Allegiance To Mr. Carter, But Because It Was Good Music, Which I Don't Hear Often. I Often Tell People, The Reason I Am So Attracted To The Music Of Jay-Z Is Because It Has Somewhat Been A Blueprint and a Guide To My Life. Often Jay-Z Talks On Subjects and Situations I Have Been Through, I Am Now Currently Going Through, or One Day I Am Sure I Will Go Through. For Some Time Now I Have Felt As Though Jay-Z Was Speaking The Future To Me, I Clearly Understood His Music, and Enjoyed It, But He Was Speaking On Many Subjects That I Was Not Personally Experiencing At The Time or Had Experienced In The Past. I Loved Reasonable Doubt Because I Was There In My Life At The Time I Began To Listen To It, 2003 (I Have Been Listening To Jay-Z Since 1996 But I Rediscovered Him and My Love For His Music In 2003 When I Got A Brand New Copy of Reasonable Doubt). The Blueprint 3 Feels As Though Jay-Z Has Been Living My Life and Been In My Mind, a Perfect Album and Soundtrack For What I Am Currently Going Through; In Business, In Relationships, and Just My Life In General. Something I Often Feel People Miss About Jay-Z Is The True Lyricism He Exhibits. Sometimes He Is The Type Of Artist Whos Music Can Be Understood On The Surface, But Often His Lyrics Are So In Depth That The Average Listener Misses The Meaning and Plays It As Someone Making Average Music, Which It Definitely Is Not. On The Blueprint 3 Jay-Z Touches On Many Subjects, Ranging From The Good and Bad of Success, Friendships, Relationships, Judgement, and Many Other Topics of Interest. The Blueprint 3 Features Guest Artist Appearances From Kanye West, Drake, Kid Cudi, Jay-Z's First RocNation Artist J.Cole, Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz, Rihanna, and Mr. Hudson. I Am Totally Understanding of the Fact That A Lot of People Don't Understand Jay-Z, People Often Try To Throw Him In The Box With Other Artist But You Can Not Compare His Music or His Albums With Any Other Hip Hop Artist Past or Present, Which Is A Mistake I Feel A Lot Of People Make When Ranking Jay-Z's Music.

I Give The Blueprint 3 a Rating of a 9 Out Of 10. Only Because I Wish That All The Featured Artist Would Have Been Allowed To Rap On The Songs With Him (Drake Sings The Hook On "Off That" and Kid Cudi Sings On "Already Home"). The Blueprint 3 Is A Must Buy For All Who Consider Themselves Fans of Hip Hop Music. Trust Me With All The B.S Music Out Here, Your Ears Will Thank You For This Album. I Hope That This Review Leads You To Buy The Album. I Tried To Listen With A Non-Bias Ear and Give It A Honest Review, Which I Think I Have Accomplished. I Would Have Loved To Do A Study but I'm Sure If Gucci Mane Was Speaking or Scarface Was On There Wouldn't Have Been A Word Said. Ummmmmmmmmm, I Will Pray For Them, But I Know Where I Want To Go Along With How I'm Gonna Get There, and There Is No Doubt That Jay-Z Along With Great Role Models Such As Dr. Martin Luther King, President Barack Obama, Dr. Frank A. Thomas, and My Dad The Real Kevin Brumfield For Helping Me Realize That.

This Is Drake's Second Feature On New Music Monday In The Last 2 Weeks and After Hearing A Snippet Of His Feature On Jay-Z's - Blueprint 3, I Am Sure This Won't Be The Last. This Is Said To Be A Track That Drake Has Been Working On For Some Time, I Guess It Is Properly Titled "Fear" Because It Talks About Success and The Downfalls Of It. In His Short Music Career, Drake Has Sure Seen A Lot of Earlier Success and Failure. The Jury Is Still Out On Whether or Not He Will Weather the Storm and Live Up to the Expectations Created By The Release of His Multiple Mixtapes, but There Is No Doubt In My Mind That He Will Get His Career Together and Give the World What They Have Been Waiting For. Since Hurting His Knee During a Performance In July, Drake's Debut Album "Thank Me Later" Has Been Pushed Back For A Later Release (February 14, 2010), But Previously Released Mixtape "So Far Gone" Has Been Remastered, and Some New Tracks Added Like "Fear" For An Official Store and Paid Digital Release. With A Slew Of New Artist Coming Into The Hip Hop Game Its Easy To Be Overlooked, But As I Have Been Told By Many Wise People, Your Career Is Not A Sprint Its A Marathon So I'm Sure There Is Some Reason Behind Jay-Z Keeping His First Artist Signed To RocNation, J. Grammy's Recap: Hip Hop Is Strong

I'm really not into the whole award show scene, honestly before yesterday I never watch. The right people never win, the right songs never get performed, the shows are boring but things were a little different last night. Entertaining, indeed it was, as I was treated to two (2) performances from my Dad (Jay-Z) and two (2) from my brother (Kanye West).

I was actually able to put a face with a great song that I have heard before from Adele (but not often enough), but because she not singing about selling drugs and shes not African American I guess we will never hear her music in Memphis (sucks indeed). Anywho, I found myself watching, trying to find out what these stars would be wearing, what new trends to pay attention to, what new brands would be seen, and how they were wearing them. Unfortunately everyone was pretty suited up (Wearing Formal Suits and Tuxes) guess I will have to wait for the MTV or BET Awards. I did spot some accessories that I'm looking into right now, but before I get back to that, I just wanted to comment on some things. Before I start, I just would like to say this is no gossip blog, but every now and then the info reported can go in that direction.

- If what is being reported is true, 2 Thumbs Down to Mr. Chris Brown. We have all been in those situations before, but Real Men don't do it. WE JUST SHAKE THE SHIT OUTTA THEM (IT SCARES HER, AND NOTHING ELSE HAS TO BE DONE).

- T.I owes me and the rest of Memphis some money. We all went to his show in December expecting to get that T.I that performed last night with energy, heart, and a bunch of other stuff and instead got a sub-par T.I and Friends. NOT COOL, JUST MY OPINION, I STILL LIKE YOU THOUGH.

- I really hope that Lil' Wayne continues to go hard in the studio as he has been, the chips are stacked against him for ever winning the Album of the Year, but if the new material I have been hearing is gonna be apart of a album, he will surely get his eventually.

- M.I.A, please kill yourself for wearing that thing. Big Ups for performing while pregnant though.

- My Dad (Jay-Z) is getting and looking old. Its cool though cause he is the King and no one will argue that.

- Jamie Foxx had the best shades on at the show (I'm trying to find out what they were)

- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson should return to wrestling.

- Why didn't T. Pain get to perform at the show? By far one of the hardest working artist in the game.

- I could just keep going, and going, but I'm not. I got a bunch of work to complete.

Now This Is What You Call Beef - No Subliminal Shots Here

Okay so I didn't know they get busy like this in England, and big up to Noel Gallagher for putting this on wax, performing it in concert, and letting everyone know exactly who he is speaking to (NO SUBLIMINAL SHOTS HERE). But everyone knows how I feel about Jay-Z (My Dad), so I gotta hate you now.

Apparently all this stems from Jay-Z headlining a London based annual concert called Glastonbury (pretty much Americas Woodstock). Mr. Gallagher had beef with this and publicized it prior to the show, Jay-Z came out at Glastonbury mocking Oasis which is Noel Gallagher's band, and Oasis responded by recording this song and performing it a couple nights later at Glastonbury. Crazy huh? Its been some time and Jay-Z still hasn't responded, not typical especially when he has been specifically called out, but maybe he is past this and maybe I should be too, but damn I never heard anyone come at "My Dad" like that. I feel like finding this punk in a dark alley, LOL, for disrespecting Jay-Z like that. If it was about anyone else I might have actually liked the song because it is dope.
