New Music Monday (On Wednesday)

I Couldn't Really Decide What New Music To Debut This Week, It's Alot Of Hot Sh*t Out and There Was No Way I Could Just Narrow It Down To One, So I Give You Two New Songs From My Dad (Jay-Z) and His New Protege' J.Cole, Along With A New Video From A Couple Of My Favorite Artist Kid Cudi, Kanye West, and Common.

Jay-Z Featuring Rihanna and Kanye West - Run This City
The Blueprint 3 Is Looking As Though It Will Be Another Epic Album. Hova Doesn't Really Need Any Assistance Making Classics, But He Has Pulled Together A Bunch Of Heavy Hitters To Sprinkle A Verse or Two On The 11th Official Album. The Blueprint 3 Drops Friday September 11, 2009 (Only Jay-Z Can Do That) and Sneak Peek Is Taking A Road Trip To NYC To See Jay-Z and Friends Live In Concert To Commemorate The Event. I Guess Until Then, "D.O.A (Death Of Autotunes)" and "Run This Town" Will Do.

With A Slew Of New Artist Coming Into The Hip Hop Game Its Easy To Be Overlooked, But As I Have Been Told By Many Wise People, Your Career Is Not A Sprint Its A Marathon So I'm Sure There Is Some Reason Behind Jay-Z Keeping His First Artist Signed To RocNation, J. Cole, G4 Classified (Top Secret). Never-The-Less The Kid Is Dope and Its Only A Matter Of Time Before The World Knows Who He Is. So Thank Me Later For Putting You All On Him Before He Blows Up. This Song 'Dead Presidents 2" Is A Re-Make Off Of Jay-Z's Classic Debut Album "Reasonable Doubt". I Personally Think He Will Be At The Top Of This So Called "Freshman Class" (With A Couple Others) When It's All Said and Done. Check Out The Song Along With His Website and Let Us Know What You Think, But J. Cole Has The Sneak Peek Seal of Approval Already.

This Song Made Sneak Peek Famous In Memphis For Our Don't Give A F@ck Attitude, During The CGI Fashion Show and Since That Day I Have Been In Love With It. Featuring Three of My Favorite Artist This Song Is Dope and The Video Directed By Nez Khammal Makes It Even Better. Simple and Clean Is The Best Way To Put It, As It Totally Goes In A Different Direction Then Expected With The Subject Matter of the Song. Kid Cudi Is Setting Himself Up Pretty Nice For The Debut of His 1st Album, "Man On The Moon" Which Is Due Out Tuesday September 15, 2009. If The Album Is Anything Like The Mixtapes, The World Is In For A Treat.

Enjoy Everyone and Until We Speak Again PEACE.

Sneak Peek TV: Behind The Scenes At K97.1 FM With Devin Steel

So Friday July 24, 2009 Me and The Boss Lady Went By Clear Channel Studios To Make A Delivery Of Some Very Dope Gear For The K97.1 FM Radio Personalities To Wear During Summer Jam 2009. The Guys Went Crazy As We Came Through With Bags and Bags of Goodies. Afterwards We Hung Around For A Couple Hours Chopping It Up With The President of Afternoon Radio, Mr. Devin Steel. I Truly Felt (As I Always Do) Like I Was Speaking With A Grizzled War Veteran, As His Knowledge of Music and Life In General Is Vast. Even More Impressive Was How He Managed To Run A Radio Show Broadcast To Hundreds of Thousands of Memphians, Hold A Full Conversation With Us, Answer The Phone, Play Music, and Get Prepared For Summer Jam. Before I Knew It, It Was 5:00PM and The President Was Ready To Get It In During The 5 O'Clock Traffic Jam. Luckily We had The Camera In Hand. Check Out The Video Below To Find Out Why He Is Dubbed The President. Thanks To Devin and The K97.1FM For All of Their Love and Support. Until We Speak Again PEACE.

DRAKE CANCELS JULY 18 CONCERT BECAUSE OF TORN ACL, HE WILL RESCHEDULE HIS MEMPHIS DATE

Most of you have heard or seen by now that Drake, previously scheduled to perform in Memphis on July 18th at Minglewood Hall, has torn his ACL playing basketball.

Scheduled to begin the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival on July 27th, Drake has confirmed with many sources that he will use the next couple of weeks for physical therapy.

"Well, I got a couple weeks of rehab ahead of me," he said. "Right now the knee is, it's slipping, so I would not be able to perform right now. But I'm going to be in the studio and in rehab."

Drake’s management has said the Memphis concert as well as concerts scheduled in Illinois and Indiana will be Rescheduled but no dates have been confirmed yet.

If you have purchased tickets you have the option to hold on to your tickets until a new date is confirmed ( WE WILL HONOR YOUR ORIGINAL TICKET AND REFUND ANY PRICE DIFFERENCE OF THE TICKET ). Or if would like to secure full refund, please email your contact information to INFO@SNEAKPEEK-MEMPHIS.COM with the subject line “DRAKE CANCELS.”

Thank you.

ReCap: DJ Rasta Root x DJ Witnesse: Live At Marshall Arts Saturday June 27, 2009

So It Has Now Been A Week Since DJ Rasta Root and DJ Witnesse In Collaboration With Sneak Peek, Strange Fruit, Red Bull, and The Entire Hip Hop Community of Memphis Had A Small Art Gallery In Downtown Memphis Jumpin. Great Music, Great People, and Free Drinks Always Equals A Dope Ass Event Which Has Come To Be Expected From Us, and This Time Was No Different. With The Exception of a Few Jerks The Night Went Without Any Issues and Everyone Got To Enjoy Hip Hop Culture In Its Purest Form Unlike Ever Seen In The City of Memphis Before. How We Will Top This, Who Knows, But I Must Say That I Am So Pleased With The Way These Events Are Attended and The Diverse Groups Of People We See Coming Through The Doors. Following Every Event We Get So Many "Thank You's" and "When Are Yall Doing This Again", and The Truth Is We Never Know, but Please Believe We Will Be At It Again In The Next Couple of Weeks. Bigger, Better, and Doper (Is That A Word) Then Ever. Below Are Just A Couple Pics From The Festivities. There Are So Many More On Facebook That Were Posted By Akeara "Graphic Queen" Williams (CLICK ON THIS LINK TO VIEW THEM). SPECIAL THANKS GOES OUT TO ALL THAT SHOWED UP AND SUPPORTED THIS EVENT, SPECIFICALLY WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK DJ RASTA ROOT, DJ WITNESSE, STRANGE FRUIT PRODUCTIONS, RED BULL, CHRISTINA, GAVIN, TOMMY, JACK BLACK, PARKER, AND MARK BROWN FOR THEIR HELP IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE EVENT. CONTINUE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE BLOG FOR UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON ANY FUTURE EVENTS AND HAPPENINGS AROUND SNEAK PEEK - MEMPHIS. Enjoy and Until We Speak Again PEACE.

Portraits and Politics: An Art Exhitbition by Kevin and Joe Brisco

I Love The Support Sneak Peek Gets From Our Customers and Even More We All Love To Support Those Who Support Us. Last Friday Night The Sneak Peek Crew Along With Hypelife's Phatmack and Los The Scholar Took Some Time Out To Enjoy The Happenings on South Main Street. There Were Some Pretty Dope Events On The Block, But The Highlight Of The Evening Was The Art Exhibition Taking Place At The Antique Car Storage Facility One Block Away on Front Street. It Was Being Put On By One of My Favorite Customers Kevin Brisco and His Brother Joe. One Word "Dope", Two Words "Crazy Dope" As Every Piece Was Nothing Short of Amazing.

My Blackberry Camera Doesn't Do These Pieces Justice but At Least Those Who Missed The Show Can See What The Guys Work Is About. Some of the Pieces Are Still Available, So If You Are Interested or Would Like The Contact Info For The Brisco's Please Feel Free To Contact Us via Email At Info@SneakPeek-Memphis.com. Enjoy and Until We Speak Again PEACE.

Sneak Peek In The Community: The Memphis Youth Manifesto

Just As Much As We Concentrate On The Products We Sell In The Store and The Events We Host, Sneak Peek Also Tries To Participate As Often As Possible In Events That Are Developed To Strengthen Our Communities In The City of Memphis. This Is Why We Have Teamed Up With New Olivet Baptist Church to help Promote The "Memphis Youth Manifesto". The Memphis Youth Manifesto is a project headed up by Dr. Kenneth Whalum Jr. and the members of New Olivet Baptist Church, they aim to take back the future of the City of Memphis by concentrating of the youth that will be the future leaders of our communities. Me, The Boss Lady, and Sherman from Fli Pelican attended the 1st Town Hall Meeting and I was utterly impressed. The Youth Members of New Olivet really came forward and took a stand for what they believed in and this is everything that Sneak Peek is about. If you live in the City of Memphis, work in the City of Memphis, or just visit the City of Memphis take a look at this website and see for yourself what this Memphis Youth Manifesto is all about. If you like what you see JOIN THEM, if you are a parent of a child in the City of Memphis find out what it is about. Anyone can be proud of a child who can play a sport or sing a song, but how Dope would it be to say I or my child saved Memphis? Enjoy and Until We Speak Again PEACE
